Danica the Dog needs a home
Danica is exceptionally sweet with people she knows. She is good with strangers as long as they don't sneak up on her and take her by surprise. She loves toys, especially soft and squeaky ones. Danica also enjoys car rides. She came to Best Friends from a No More Homeless Pets Network Partner shelter and successfully completed a weight loss plan at the Sanctuary. She is always up for a walk, and she can be very active, so she is maintaining her new, healthy weight. Danica appreciates quiet cuddle time and sitting in her caregivers' laps. She's gotten along well with other dogs she's met at the Sanctuary and loves to run and play with her roommate. Born in 2014, Danica has a birth defect that causes her to leak a little urine when she is excited or when she is lying down sleeping or relaxing. However, she is housetrained and will go outside most of the time. She eats a special diet to prevent bladder crystals, takes prescription medication and needs some (easy) extra care to stay clean and comfortable. With Danica, adventure and cuddles await. She'll be the best of both worlds to a special person.
